This kit comes in a laquered pearlescent white finish with chrome hardware.
Seven-Piece F.A.S.T. Sized Kit
The complete 7-piece kit comes in F.A.S.T. (fundamentally accurate sized toms) sizes, with an 18x22" kick drum, 5x14" snare, and five toms at 7x8", 8x10", 9x12", 12x14", and 14x16". All drums feature heads by REMO. Hardware sold separately.

7-Ply Maple Shells
Maple shells with reinforcing hoops have a longer, slower sustain ratio while birch shells without reinforcing hoops have a shorter and faster sustain. Maple produces a warmer, lower fundamental tone than birch. The outer face, or veneer, has very little influence on sound. The core plies and inner ply have the most influence and significant influence on sound, respectively.
STM--Suspension Tom Mount System
Pacific uses DW's patented STM (suspension tom mount) system, which allows drums to vibrate freely, allowing maximum resonance while securely holding the drum in place. Because there are no washers or grommets inhibiting the lug rod receiver, choking is reduced and tuning is as easy as ever.
True-Pitch Tension Rods
To give drummers even more control over their sound, Pacific offers the True-Pitch rod system. The rods feature 10/32 threads rather than the 10/24 that's standard on most other drums. The result is a more exacting tuning process.

Great kit
Just got this set yesterday and got it all set up, and i am very pleased. It looks great,it sounds great, and the price is amazing (i got it when it was only $600). Overall i'd have to say that this is one of the best deals out there, considering that it is a 7 piece kit. My only complaint is that setting it up was really annoying, and it's adjustabiltiy isn't quite what i thought it would be and it got frustrating, but it's fine. Buy this drum set. now.

PDP x7 Sounds Like heaven
This drumset kiss ass, it's absolutely amazing!!! awesome color, GOD like sound yes!!! it's maple shells, and have a nice price...i will pay more for that if you asked xD, but is ok... =) nicely done
Drummer for Framework
I'm the drummer for the rock band Framework. Ordered this set here after seeing it and examining in a music store. I was very surprised and pleased that it came with all the mounting hardware - after asking and no one working in the store having a clue. A great steal in price considering this fact.
Also, the color is awesome. Not to showy, not too tacky. Works great with lighting in smaller to medium sized venues. I play at the Knitting Factory often, and it looks great on stage with the band. Despite other reviews, the color really does work for a hard rock band. I don't feel like a pop band drummer, and my band thinks the color is perfect for our style and look.
They sound great, but I ordered my own heads as I'm not a big fan of manufacturer's heads. I will use the manufacturer's heads to put on my beater set for rehearsals. Also, if you order a head with built in muffling ring system, the bass sounds AWESOME!
