Great Pedal When You're on a Budget
I have owned a 5000, 5002 and now the 3002. I don't see much difference between the 3000 and 5000 and don't really feel much difference either. This is a great pedal for an amateur drummer who does not want to spend a ton of cash but wants the speed and feel of top notch equipment.

Beginner drummer, Happy with purchase
This is my first set of double bass drums and I'm using them with an Roland TD-6 set. The place I bought them from also has an used DW-5000 pedal for the same price. Comparing both the pedals I couldn't find any significant differences. The adjustments all looked exactly the same, and the build quality was comparable. The very visible difference was in the paint job and the branding. Considering how new these 3000 pedals are, maybe the DW-5000 are in for an update soon.
After bringing it home I was surprised to find no manual or documentation in the box, but thankfully they at least included the key tools. I suppose thats one place where the manufacturer is cutting costs. I was able to get it setup in a reasonable time. It took me a few weeks to compare different setting and finally settle on something I like. Overall happy with the purchase, and the missing documentation is no biggie.
Best buy
These are great pedals. I have the iron cobras on my acoustic set and got these from best buy for my electric set. Compared to the iron cobras there's not much of a difference. I got these brand new for $110 at best buy with a 5 year warranty. If you are going to get these pedals or the 5000 by dw then go to best buy. Happy drumming!!
