Pound out a pro-sounding rhythm with this ddrum Dios M-Series 5-piece drum kit in olive sparkle (model DS MP 20), which offers a rich aural texture thanks to its 100 percent North American Maple shells. It comes with a bass drum, snare drum, tom tom, and two floor tom; hardware and cymbals are not included in this package. They feature a hand-stained inner shell that creates a smooth conduit for vibration and sound to travel through and a glass-like finish on the exterior. Other features include ddrum's custom bullet lug design and 2.3mm triple flanged hoops.

Fantastic sound! Especially the kick...
This set was an upgrade from my previous Pearl Vision set. Only my shells changed; my hardware, pedals and cymbals are the same.
First off, for the money, the Pearl set was great. I especially like the Pearl sensitone snare. It has a deep, rich sound without too harsh a resonance after the initial strike. Since I like the Pearl snare so much, I anticipated keeping it, and selling only the remaining 4 shells.
Tonally, the toms blew the Pearl toms away straight out of the box. The tone of the floor toms is deep and warm.
Initially, the Dios snare didn't sound as good. The tone was thinner, and higher. The ringing or resonance was much worse than the Pearl. I set the Dios snare on the coffee table, played with the tension a bit, and decided to keep the Pearl.
After setting up the kit, I spent a little more time playing with the Dios snare. Once the tuning and snare tension were tweaked, it sounds fantastic. The tone is different than...

I couldn't be happier!
for everyones sake i'm going to be as descriptive as possible. because i know kits aren't cheap and alot of people seem to be frustrated on this item..
[im posting for my husband] my husband has been looking for a flashier set to bang around on. he currently has a gretsch renoun and was really interested in the dios. when we saw the price of the dios he wanted it even more because it was BY FAR more affordable than we could imagine [to put it in perspective, this entire kit was cheaper than his extra floor tom he purchased for his gretsch]. anyhow with the negativity flying around on here we were greatly discouraged. so prior to buying it we contacted amazon who assured us the price is correct, its for the 5pcs drum set, etc etc.
so we went ahead and bought it.
more negative reviews came up and i called a second time. they again assured me that everything was correct, we would be getting all three boxes, and we could even contact the manufacturer for anymore...

I have been to hell and back trying to buy this beautiful set. Very long story short, my many thanks to Michelle, a customer service rep who went way beyond what anyone at Amazon was doing. This wonderful woman stuck with solving my problem(s) and followed up with a very happy ending. She deserves a merit pay increase at the very least. This is truly a great drum set at a great sale price. Buy it when it comes on sale again and trust Amazon has fixed their shipping problems.
