Excellent Beginner Percussion Kit
My 11 year-old sixth grader started band this year and wanted to play percussion. I thought this would be the least expensive instrument possible needing only a pair of drumsticks and a practice pad. I quickly found out from the Band Director that we would also need a Snare Drum and Bell kit with stands. After visiting a local music store I found out that their Beginners Percussion Kit sold for over $400. I immediately checked to see if there were better deals on the internet. I found the best price on Amazon with the Pearl PL-900C Kit for about half of what I would have paid in the store. I am very pleased with this purchase! All components of the kit seem to be very good quality and are easy to set up and use. My youngster especially likes the fact that the notes are actually printed on the bells unlike some other sets. Just what we needed - super fast delivery
Ordered this for my son -first year in band. Exactly as advertised; brand new; perfect condition. Delivery was extremely fast - received within same week - just in time for first session.
A steal for the price!
This set is awesome for the price, better quality and cheaper than what the music stores here in NC sell. The stand works for all 3 instruments (practice pad, snare, and bells), but of course you can only put 1 instrument on the stand at a time.
Slight downside: the bells can be a bit tricky to attach to the stand, but my daughter and I figured it out pretty quickly, and I realize Pearl manufactured it that way to make the bells more stable when playing.
