Good rack. Some limitations.
Pros: stable, light, quick assembly, cheap
Cons: fixed height, inferior PC8 clamps, paint prone to scratches
Overall I'm very pleased with the rack, it is very clean and "low profile". Very light by itself and very easy and quick to assemble, if you have to move your kit.
Is it as stable as ICON series? No. You wont be able to sit on it. Is it stable enough? Yes. You won't shake it even with the heaviest hits. Considering the current price (~$160 and free shipping from Amazon, as of Oct '11) it is a very good deal.
What you should keep in mind before buying DR80, especially if you are a beginner like me: you cannot adjust the racks's height; legs can't be used to hold the cymbal posts - you'll need a clamp for each one; new "improved" PC8 clamps are suitable for 7/8" posts only (unlike older PC7 version, which was more universal); black paint will scratch easily off the rack.
If you can work around the limitations above - I highly recommend...

Sturdy
We love this stand. It frees up so much floor space and really makes the footprint of the drums and cymbals much smaller. It is super sturdy and easy to assemble. Wish I would have purchased years ago.
