the throne is great except the lock for the height does not tighten properly. otherwise it is great and comfortable

DON'T BUY IT
THIS THRONE IS JUNK. MEMORY LOCK WILL NOT SUPPORT YOU. IT ALWAYS SINKS TO THE LOWEST LEVEL. WISH I HAD SPENT 15 OR 20 MORE BUCKS AND GOT A REAL THRONE.
Good, solid, adjustable throne
The Pearl D790 is a very standard throne, solidly built, adjusts with a drum key, should go high or low enough for anyone, and can be tightened in two places for a strong, friction-based hold. That means there are no pre-set heights (no bolt through the support shaft), so the upside is that you can adjust to precisely the height you want, but the trade-off is that it does not lock in place. It works for me, but I don't know if it'll slip on heavier players over a period of time. Basic and affordable are keywords.
