A great tool for practicing kick drum technique
I just got this product a few days ago, although I haven't had it a very long time I am completely impressed. The rebound of the pad feel very close to the bass drum. The practice pad is very quite. I am always on the road, in hotel rooms so this kick drum practice works is great for these situations. It's very portable it fits perfectly in my Vic Firth Stick bag. I recommend this product 5ive stars.

I haven't played in 12 years
I received this great Steve Smith bass drum pad and I love it. I have not played in 12 yrs so I got a coach and ordered this bass drum pad aware that I needed remedial training. I am very pleased.

Well made but too many moving parts
As with all DW products this is well made but because of all the moving parts no matter how tight all the screws are tightened it still makes rattling noises when used. The pad is also very hard and does not feel like a bass drum. I returned it and purchased the Gibraltar bass drum practice pad for $45.
